Myrtleford Pioneer Cemetery (O'Donnell & Mummery Street)
Historic Grounds: The Pioneer Cemetery was established in 1861 and contains heritage-listed graves and pathways. While we maintain the site to the best of our ability, some sections may have uneven surfaces, older monuments, or grassed areas that can be difficult for visitors with limited mobility.
Access: Street parking is available near the entrance. The cemetery has sealed internal roadways for wheelchair/pram access, however, the surface can be uneven in some sections. Please exercise caution.
Seating: A small number of benches are located near the main pathways.
Assistance: Our team and volunteers are available to help visitors locate graves and sugget the most accessible paths through the grounds.
Myrtleford Lawn Cemetery (Myrtleford-Yackandandah Road)
Modern layout: Established in 1971, the Lawn Cemetery has been designed with accessibility in mind. Flat lawn sections make movement easier for visitors with mobility aids.
Driveway & Parking: On-site driveways allow vehicles to park closer to lawn sections. Pathways are generally accessible, though may be soft after heavy rain.
Facilities: The site is open-air and does have public restrooms, seating and shaded areas.
Ashes memorials: Ashes interment areas are located near main pathways and are accessible by foot.
